What can you do with two meters ( or 2.18723yards) of fabric?

Have you ever wondered what to do with piece of fabric? Piece of fabric that you bought, just because you loved the fabric? Usually it sits in the cupboard, encouraging small amounts of gilt every time you see it, successfully collect dust and raises the question: What should I use it for? Lets see. My piece of fabric waited for my decision for about a year. I knew I want a short pants. But I wanted a white embellishments, and I had no matching white fabric. It took half a year to find it. Not that I've been busy looking day and night for that fabric, it just wasn't a priority. Than one day I suddenly decided - this would be a day to cut that pretty piece of fabric.  I never managed to build the patterns myself, so I usually use ready to use patterns. Particularly I like using the patterns from Burda Style Magazine. I've been using their patterns since 1996. I finally want to start recording videos for my YouTube channel!

I finally want to start recording videos for my YouTube channel 60? So What! I registered the name and set up my account almost 2 years ago, had ideas, topics and some skills to share, but never had a real courage to start!  I find excuses such as “ oh, I need to learn a lot, before I start”, another good one -“I am busy”, but honestly, I think I am just simply afraid of unknown. First step is the hardest. I am trying to figure out what do I need to know before I attempt to record videos, what equipment do I need. I am using following system: Writing down categories such as knowledge needed, equipment, books to read, educational videos to watch brings structure to the task. Write as many questions in each category as you wish. Breaking each category down into the individual questions makes is more digestible.  Example:   Category: Knowledge  Question: What do I need to know about lighting? And finally breaking each question into smaller chunks: What is the best aff...

Have you ever wanted to draw or paint?

Have you ever wanted to be able to paint or draw? Have you ever had those damaging thoughts: “I am not capable,” “I am not good enough,” “I am not an artist,” “I don’t know how”? Have you tried at least? Or maybe you have tried and did not like the result? Was your line of thought, “It’s not good at all”? But wait, to whom did you compare yourself? Leonardo da Vinci? I propose my theory: any drawing or painting is far better than an empty piece of paper or canvas. Any act of creation is better than nothing. Even this creation is better than nothing. Next one is better than the first one.   And this one is better than the 2nd picture. Not much, but better. Not perfect by any means, but it is a start! I found this interesting exercise in a very old book about drawing cartoons. You draw a random line,  and then you try to see and draw the face. Try it a few times and see how much fun it is. You can even try it with your children or at a party with yo...
